I thought I would run this race through Energy using Ramon's horses and paceline selections. I dropped Wild Desert as he was a late scratch. Attention this is a redboard as I did not have these pacelines and I used other horses for my contenders. (West Virginia and Love of Money). Also I did the manual (E) adjustment that equalizes TOTAL ENERGY.

The EXDC Match-Up Screen. Look who is showing up in both Early and Late. Pefect Drift lost by a nose. According to this screen an Exacta would have been very playable with the information we have here. Congratulations to Ramon on your contender and paceline selection. Anytime a 91-1 shot shows up like this it has to be played. Just wish I would have done the same in this race.

Final Thoughts

With the presence of Love of Money in the race I felt that Buzzard's Bay does not get the lead that he seems to be comfortable with. After watching the race Buzzard's Bay tried to get the lead back from Love of Money, but Love of Money came back to lead again costing them both in the latter stages of the race. Heh, no excuses as this is part of learning the match-up to determine scenarios such as these.

My win contenders with my paclines and contenders were Love of Money and Brass Hat? The only thing I did correct in this race was to use Pefect Drift in the second hole for exacta's.
