Sharp Pocket Computers - Pace and Cap

I recently discovered my old Sharp 1262, put a new battery in it, and it works like a charm. Now its just staring at me with its massive 10k of memory, saying "feed me", like the plant from "Little Shop of Horrors".

Does anyone have any listings of the old Sartin programs for the Sharp and Radio Shack pocket computers laying around?

Somewhere, I've got my old home-cobbled program that did TPRs and feet per second for one horse at a time. Of course, I've not only got to find it, but key it into not only my Sharp, but my word processor so I can share it with anyone who might be interested. It is, of course, stored on the high tech media of yellow legal pad.

Just curious if anyone still had functional pocket computers and the programs that went with them. Since the pockets are mostly from the 80's, I wouldn't think the programs would be near as subject to ripoff and sale on eBay as the Followups and manuals were.

Hi Dick,

I may have a "yellow legal pad" copy of Ultra-scan somewhere in my storage room. If you want it, I will look for it and send it to you via email, to keep it in the Sartin family. It's a great program; I won $7k in one week with it, betting win only. As for manuals, alas, time has consumed them. Perhaps someone else on the Forum can help.

I wrote a few programs for the 1360, including TPR based on Beyers for the variant. Let me look around the basement boxes and see if I can find them.
I had one that was variation of phase III that listed the fractions as a number like 5 - 16 - 33, where lower was closer to the lead, so this guy was up there early and decelerated. It was a cross between PIII and Huey Mahl's length variant.

Short work week this week, so I will spend some time in the archives.

I'd love to have a copy of Ultrascan for the pocket if you can find it. I've never used Ultrascan, but I've got enough of the early Followups that I think I could probably figure it out.

I would very much love to see whatever you come up with, especially the program on the TPR using a Beyer variant. I love the Total Pace Ratings and also use CJ's figs, so I have access to a Beyer comparable figure.

The 1360 was a bit more powerful pocket that the 1262, but I think most progs would fit with few if any changes.

I noticed you mentioned on PA that you also once had a Radio Shack PC-4. I've also got one of those that a friend gave me. It was actually a Casio rather than a Sharp, and the capacity is so tiny I've never tried programming it for anything. I guess I need to look at it again while exploring the joys of antique numbered basic.
