What happened to Pace & Cap on Wed. 6/26?

Hi Ted I was just wondering what happened to P&C yesterday when the site was down from very early morning until very late in the day?
When almost every website are now taking steps to block piracy and use verification software on everything they put on the web.
I hope you can just put our minds at ease by letting us know if the site is in a good safe place
Darryl

Hi Darryl
I let Ted know the site was down and he replied with
"Dan - site is back up. Somehow, the dedicated IP address got mangled at the host end. They reset, now it works for me."

Hi Darryl, and everyone. On that day, the message was (something like) - "bad IP address". I noticed that and several people also wrote me.

I sent off an emergency tech support to the web host (MidPhase). They resolved it in about an hour, saying they had changed their internal IP address range for shared hosting sites which have a fixed IP address (e.g. ours).

Then NEXT day, I got a courtesy info-email from them saying they were doing exactly the same thing in the next while (for many sites) but not to worry: accounts would not be affected (but, oops they broke it ).

This issue does NOT have to do with PaceandCap website security - just a dropped-ball on the web host part.

I DO need to add a SSL (HTTPS) certificate to paceandcap.com (and artofpace.com, sartinmethodology.com, rdss2.com) to resolve the long standing browser warnings about "insecure website". It's on my list To Do!

Cheers,

Ted
