Pizzola's window again

You have to hunt for these, but they are out there using the Pizzola window again.

What exactly would point you in the direction to bet this horse? It looks like to me that you put in 4 different lines for the winner. That's stretching it a tad bit too much isnt it.

In a word: SUBSTANTIATION. More than one line shows that the performer is better than the field rather than a single performance. Old Hat, been up many times.

If it's old hat then why keep putting it up.

Tomkins,

I found this very interesting. Do you do this on most of your races or on just the grass?

All surfaces. It is a way to differentiate the PERFORMER (the horse) from a single, often sample errored PERFORMANCE, where it may have run exceptionally well just the one time.

Once you have your contenders down to a reasonable group, go back and match up each contender's better lines to the group to see if any particular one is dominant. If your five finalists are A B C D E, match A1,A4, A6
(A's better lines when it was in form and consistent style) to B,C,D,E then go through EACH of the other contenders in like fashion. When any one stands out as have two or three that are consistently better than the field, you have a very solid bet.

Works better in non-maiden races as those characters usually get better quickly and it is their last two lines that usually tell the tale.

It happened in the 4th today as well but not at such a great price as Indolent had three lines better than this field as well.
4th race - Turf Paradise - March 27, 2007
Pgm Horse Jockey Win Place Show
1 Indolent Jocelyne Kenny 8.80 4.80 3.80
4 Graded Star Ry Eikleberry 11.20 5.40
7 Alligator Mean Joseph L. Durigon 10.40

lines

hello Tompkins

Doing your method have you ever done any long term
study of which lines you would judge the horse on in realtion to
the standard guidelines - best of the last 3 Speed ratings
comperable distance surface and to some extent class ???
What I mean is generally when you post your screens
with all your lines I look at the line # the distance
and the total energy. And I can see why the horse that wins might show the better lines

If I have the card i will check my line choice
Very often The best of the last 3 Speed ratings at a comperable distance
and surface gets the winner anyway

You make a good point about looking at all the lines
I just get there a different way

A turf angle only. I have explained it many times. Nothing's changed.
