Storm,
You figured it out - the #1 horse is extracted from the original 8.5f distance. A line whose original distance is not the same structure as today's distance is marked in purple. If today's race is a sprint, a route paceline's original distance is marked purple (instead of 'x'). If today's distance is a route, then sprint pacelines original distance is marked purple (instead of 'p'). In general throughout the software, purple colour in the Distance column indicates that paceline is of a different distance structure to today's distance. How do you like that marking? Also, you told me your screen is 1280 x 1024 resolution, yet the 1st screenshot you show (the one with 2 split screens) indicates you are running in only 1024 x 768 resolution. If you were running 1280 x 1024, you would see 3 panels not 2 (you'd see a duplicate Analysis panel at the bottom of each horse's Past Performances, like the picture below - kind of cool). Try the higher screen res - unless you find it too hard on your eyes... Ted

Storm,
Yes you can get an APV of 320 or 208. What it means is that the horse has been in the money at a higher purse level than todays purse. For instance been running at CL12500 and todays race is CL8000. Good for you for winning that race. I didn't go that far down for a pace line on #12 and I lost. Froggy |
