9/10

Woodbine clear/fast
few scratched today
3) 1
5) 10 are the only ones EARLY

Just added to my job now as well as doing the photo finish of each race, I am responsible for the teletimer: have a computerized timing system of beams across the key points of the harness track and have to back that up with a very good stopwatch. We practiced yesterday (my back up and I) in the rain at it will take a good bit of practice to be as accurate as the beams since a few of them are on curves where line of sight to the leader is tough to catch.

We also practiced another scenario where you have to "arm" the beams and them manually close them. That scenario requires THREE HANDS at the finish: 1) photo finish camera activation 2) Stop watch final time and 3) stopping the beam at the wire. Hope that never happens!!

Opener baby race at 7 furlongs (The furlong, short for "furrow-long," is said to have been the distance a horse could pull a plow before having to rest)

Kind of thought they would chase the eight 8/5/6/4 but a 10/1 place horse is is okay too
