Marathon Match from GP 11f Saturday

There are sixteen entrants. My running styl labels and final contenders for win are marked, so try to make your own decisions and not be influenced by my attempts at handicapping.

and the last few...

good luck on this one. There are a few tandems to look at and I think some good prices.

My win contenders with running style based on best mile times and closest to lead; TPR +E/L and BL info;

The 14-13 and 2 raced a tandem last time with the 14 winning. The 13 runs from too far behind for this race, IMHO and to me it looks like the 8 and 9. Position wise the 8 probably gets first run on the 3 E types that I found in this race. the 9 appears to have run the fastest mile time while closing from 8th in a field of 14 (grade 2 too!) In the 14-13-2 tandem race it looked like the 2 sat well back early (not usual position) so a more advantageous early position would be my anticipation here.

I think the 14 is the M/L favorite, but might not draw in, in which case who knows. But at least the morning line odds look good for the top three.

More after scratches tomorrow.

Marathon GP

Good morning Bill.
Question?
How do your final contenders match up to the top 5 APV-Class horses ?
I didn't see apv or class rankings on the screenshots. I'm not an RDSS user yet.

Bob,

The first screen of this post shows the class and APV info, with the top three color coded red, green and yellow. So for instance the 14 is the top Class horse and is colored red; the 2 is colored yellow (3rd class).

I notice at least one cross entered horse, Jessica is Back, the #4 class horse is in race 7 or 8 as well, so is probable scratch. After scratches, RDSS will re-rank the remaining horses.

Original class order
14
3
2
15
13
9
11
12
8

So currently in my contender list I have the 1,3,6,8,9 class horses

My apologies for not posting scratches etc. Got a good excuse you snow bunnies can't duplicate very easily though. We got called at 130 am with news that 8' tsunami was headed our way and due here by about 11 am. It was a mad dash to pack valuables and get ready to move and quite sobering. The tsumami hit our beach with max 1.5 ft fluctations, mostly a yawn.

It is surprisingly simple to make value decisions under that pressure when space is limited to a couple of medium sized cars, but probably made simpler by having insurance. Computer, taxes, pictures, wife (not in that order BTW) all made it out in good order. Worst that happened was that when we moved back in a couple of hours later, we found dust behind everywhere that we hadn't looked at in two years! Imagine that!

No bets, but winners were my top two horses for GP 7 and 8. Could not find the 11 as winner of marathon. Hopefully tomorrow SA will run again. If I find anything interesting I'll post the race.
