SAR 08-31-11 (Horses I'll Be Watching) - Pace and Cap

At the right price any of my selections may be worth a bet.
I single out just 1 horse per race and bet to win providing I get the value that I seek.
I am of the opinion that the figure horse runs out much more then not
so I don't put to much emphasis on the the horse that looks good on paper or do I become dependent on numbers which again in my opinion are for the most part meaningless and are frequently wrong. I look for the horse whose running style fits the race at hand and might possibly offer value.
Horse racing is not rocket science and I try to keep it in it's perspective by
keeping it as simple as possible.
If my choices are wrong then so be it.

I don't fault or criticize anyone's way of playing or the tools they they may choose to use. Different strokes for different folks.

My picks in race 3 & 4 were hardly worth a bet despite having the winner in race - 4

Horse in race 3 went off at 2-1 (3rd)

Horse in race 4 went off at 7-5 (1st)

The 5th race was worth a bet but ended up running 3rd,

The 6th race was not worth a bet but ended up winning.

I did bet the 9th and 10th race.

The horse in the 9th finished 3rd
The horse in the 10th finished 2nd

I was minus 3 units out of 6 races.
This can be expected when you bet "Value"
It's simply a waiting game.

I did handicap at 33% but only the short priced (non- playables) won for me today.

2 wins out of 6 races
Not one of my picks finished less then 3rd.
