Malibu
Some screen shots using VALM of the Malibu. First 5 are with normal hides. The second 5 are thinking the front end will self destruct.

If the early speed survives, I like the 11. The 11 horse likes Santa Anita and has put up a few bullet workouts. Only problem is: can it last for 7 furlongs?
If the early speed fizzles, I like the 7. |

Malibu Stakes is loaded with early front runners with Distinctiv Passion leading the way for the first fraction but Distinctiv will be disadvantage with a second fraction move of 23.1...this one will not get to relax in this stakes field with some classier horses in this race match-up..
Heir of Storm should bounce after that huge last race out of nowhere, besides, he should face a "storm" of early pace...While Bakken may be a very good horse, he will face much faster early pace fractions than in the East coast... Final contenders are Flashback, Zeewat, Heir of Storm and Distinctiv Passion. No surprises here as Flashback should improve off that last race after a long layoff and Zeewat just wins races as his career record shows.. Good skills |

Surprise!
#2 All Shook Up @ 17-1. Another insider for $36.00. $1 2-7-5 tri $1007.70. What did they do, move Fair Grounds to Arcadia? SA would be stomping me in the dust if I were playing today.

Nothing like hiding the winner. Not the first time and won't be the last.

Seeing Mike Smith in last place and Gary Stevens in 7th (especially at SA) is some kind of record?
