K Gen

Those who remember K Gen will liley see the possibilities using the new Trakus race timing system - it should be possible, using the real time continuous flow data to construct PPs that will show an energy graph for each horse, each race. Energy distributiona and abberation pacelines would be visually obvious.
The Hat might have been looking into a crystal ball when he wrote that one!

Tom,

Hi. When does that go into effect? At all tracks? Or just some (initially)?

Woodbine uses it now, Keenland when it opens.
Will probably be while before it gets mainstream use.

wasn't there a big thing about Kgen's factors not being linear?

I'm just thinking we could get pacelines that looked like the K Gen graphs, for visual analysis. that wsa the neat part for me - just throw out the lines that look different.
