Ted, I have been reading, for the umpteenth time, Pace Makes The Race. An article by Tom Hambleton about picking pacelines he states "Always calculate a total pace rating on the last paceline of every horse entered in every race." My question is would it be possible to have the last pace line as an automatic default which could be changed by the user if so desired.

Dave,

Since TPRs are calculated in RDSS not only for the last paceline, but for ALL pacelines (on the TPR screen), I'm guessing you mean: can there be an automatic paceline selection feature which will place a check-mark on the last line for each horse so you can then look in the Analysis TPR screen to see how they stack up (also see other interesting things about each horse's last race, like who ran against the fastest pace, etc).

If so, the answer is YES, very soon! I should have a couple of automatic paceline selection strategies, including the recent Powerline strategy. If you meant something else, can you clarify.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Ted

Yes, exactly. Your new feature should be a great help in paceline selection.
