"H.R. 6631 Would Eliminate Automatic 25% Federal Withholding Tax

The Pari-Mutuel Conformity and Equality Act of 2008 (H.R. 6631) was recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill would eliminate the automatic 25 percent withholding on pari-mutuel winnings of $5,000 or more. Your U.S. Representative needs to hear that you are a horseplayer, you vote and that you want them to cosponsor H.R. 6631. We urge you to contact your U.S. Representative and build support by sending the letter below."

Above the northern border, we have NO Tax of winnings including lotteries.
