Horses saving prisoners

About 20 years ago, the New York state correctional facilities began an inmate program in teaching participants to become grooms. It gave them a real job, self worth and a chance to allow retired horses a chance for survival. I am glad to hear that this idea has spread to many correctional institutions and I recently saw a film board of Canada documentary about one such program at the Colorado State Prison where inmates learn to train and rehabilitate wild mustangs culled from the natural herds for adoptions.

Good show called The Wild Horse Redemption and follows five inmates as they learn to interact with horses and it forever changes them...FOR THE BETTER.
