One of Doc's favorites via the dream race
I feel that the crux of the methodology has taken a back seat here lately and the dream race is a big part of it.I used Syn 2 but Im sure Ted has it somewhere in RDSS.
The 4 was the 8-5 favorite but as you can see from the dream race in the 3rd fraction the horse goes right in the toilet. The 3 won the race at a generous 9-2 and as Pino likes to say he was the only horse to have the power of 50. |

I was tempted to play CT today, but the wife said "NO".....chores to attend...
You don't have to play all the races, just a few where you know you have an edge. btw, RDSS New Pace last 2 days is +$591.00 playing my cheap races...I just keep tab for Mike Sal tell Jeanie I say hi |

Pino,
From a small sample of 55 views and only 1 reply from you I can see where people on board really dont care anymore about the methodology old way of doing things. It seems where that the only thing that really gets a response is NP where you really dont have to put any effort into it. In my opinion it's a real shame,I guess the best way is to do it on your own just rereading the FU'S and manuals and listening to the seminars. I will keep in touch Jeff |

work with us
Hello Jeff
With respect: I know you want to help out the group, I know you are an excellent users of the older programs and most importantly contender/pace line selection. I was one of the 52 views, I read your comments and looked at the rankings. I understand the dream race concept, but If I did not I would have felt like an outsider and moved on Perhaps what the group here would latch on to would be a more complete review of your thought process or some guidelines as to what the dream race is, Your showing how the winner in your race was dominant Maybe It would help if you could post the PP's. Believe me its a lot of work so that's a call you have to make If you would rather not post PP's maybe you could do a written review of the field and your contender pace line selections Take a look at Lone Speeds Queens plate post yesterday in the race of interest area and Bill Lysters and Pete's work in the Matchers area This work inspired me to look at the race and I was rewarded with a winner I would not have looked at the race without these post. Just a thought Nice work to you with the dream race Bill |

I have no idea what Track, Date, Race or pacelines were involved in the race you pictured above. If you can supply the first 3, I will demonstrate how RDSS worked that race and show what the Dream Race was. The Dream Race (best fractions run by any horse at each segment) is a concept which is sometimes useful and sometimes not. Check the Follow Ups: Doc Sartin made a regular habit of abandoning, or downgrading previously useful or interesting concepts, which may once have been cutting edge, but which he subsequently found better or more clear ideas to replace. Check the Segments screen in RDSS (just look around the board for one labeled Segments) - that's the Dream Race. But it's largely an incomplete picture of a horse race (though sometimes you get lucky). It's a ridiculous notion that NewPace is the only thing happening. Are we looking at the same board? Check out the Contest Forum - plenty of hard work by a dozen or more people this month went into picking those selections using RDSS so far. Any tool that makes money persistently is a useful tool. I don't want to use RDSS or NewPace or Synergism or Energy - I want to make money! If Doc's Validator did not make money, it would not have turned into RDSS. If Synergism and the Dream Race is working for you consistently - hearty congratulations! Despite the volumes of archive information in the Sartin Library - this place is about the PRESENT and the FUTURE, not the PAST. What do we do for the folks who are not as lucky as you to have come across Synergism 20 years ago? Hand out DOS diskettes? And who is supporting and distributing Synergism2 these days? The tools for TODAY and for the future are solidly founded in the life work of Dr Howard Sartin, including the Dream Race and beyond, including the Matchup: the ultimate test of who can compete with whom in each segment of the race according to their running styles and energy disbursement patterns. Again, tell me which race you were talking about above and I'll show what today's tools can do about it. Better still, let's try 20 races. cheers, Ted

Very well said, Ted.
Some of the older Sartin programs did not take into account daily variants or track to track adjustments. It was up to the user to make decisions as to whether a horse was a true contender and hit the 2 adjust in a Sartin program like Thoromation. This was my favorite program because as Sartin said, "it was synaptic"...it forecast a race as exdc or sp depending on the matchup. I had ways to get around the dilemma of true contenders but it was time consuming.. One can have the best tools available but no system is flawless. Form cycles and the likelihood of a bounce after a major race effort are some of many arrays of questions and decisionsone must make on a regular basis even if you have the best programs and numbers available ... Bottom line is to make money like Ted said so emphaticcally.....Nostagia has no place in this game as one must maintain a positive roi and take advantage of one's edge while it last. |

Ted, This thread was not intended to be about Synergism it was to show basically one of Doc's favorite plays using the dream race concept. Thanks for the offer to do the race with RDSS but I will pass on it,I have lost interest in it. Jeff |
