MNR -- huh?

I felt like Lloyd Bridges' character in Airplane. "Guess I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue."

In my case it was, "Guess I picked a bad night to wagercap Mountaineer."

Look at these payouts:

Ouch

Compare that to Monday evening, though:

$3.00 $10.80 $14.80 $15.00 $4.00 $6.20 $14.80 $63.40 $2.80 $11.20 plus a generous sprinkling of good Place prices offsetting some the chalk.

Hope you worked MNR on Monday too, David! I know you would have gotten your fair share of those.

Certainly goes in streaks.

Ted

David,

Looks like my earlier post about Lone Star. Did you follow the advice you gave me on betting the Exs & Tris?

Ted and Mike, nope, didn't bet it Monday night. However, MNR is generally one of the best tracks to wagercap as I'm sure you both know.

Bud, naw. I only follow that advice for chalky tracks and situations. For example, a four-horse field at Santa Anita.

Mountaineer last night was exceptional. In all the years I've been playing that track I've never seen a night with such low payoffs. That's why I posted it -- the exception to the rule.

I agree David. Mountaineer is one of my favourite tracks and I did play it Monday night with, for me, spectacular results with a couple of exactas too. Last night after the first few I gave up and just watched.

Hi Barb,
On Friday I saw your post and I figured If MNR is one of Barb's favorites then I should take a look. I am starting off slow with the $$$ amounts. Friday night I won a little money. Saturday night I hit 3 in a row races 7,8,and 9 with the #3 horse in all races paying 26, 22.4, and 8.8. So thanks Barb and Ted-RDSS what a tool! To go to a track cold with no models or stats and have success is great.
Follow the process believe the tool..
Regards,
Bill

I played MNR on Monday night and actually made a few bucks. I thought I was a wagercapping genius. However, I gave much of it back on Tuesday night. It was surreal. A few of the chalks went off at less than even and won by 6+ lengths. Very untypical for MNR as far as I can tell based on my limited experience.
