Hi
I am checking out today's cards and I notice that Calder and Gulfstream are featuring a bunch of races for foreign horses from Uruguay and Argentine. What's going on? Can we deal efficiently with these foreigners? Any comments? Paul |

Unless there are a bunch of pp I pass. Trying to predict the future is hard enough but when there are a unknowns thown in the mix then it becomes next to impossible. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for your comment, Terry. I have not downloaded the past performances of these aliens yet. So, I don't know how much info is included on their birth certificates ( if they even have one
)I think I may have to stick to Belmont again today, where I'm going to make an attempt at the late pick4, if the odds are appealing as post time approaches. Have a nice day ![]() Paul |

I recall profiting nicely betting against European invaders running against our horses, such as when English Channel was favored.
Just guessing the South American angle you reference in Florida may be a side effect of recent politics in the racing industry down there and an effort to increase the prospects of full fields in the starting gate. I personally avoid contributing to the handles in Florida, Louisiana (excepting Fair Grounds), and Oklahoma, due to their resistance to drug reform/testing and propensity to be cowboy chemists who use running thoroughbreds as pincushions. I much prefer the more progressive minded horse friendly tracks in the northeast and on the west coast. There is a huge difference between people with horses and real horsemen, the latter being a minute minority. Gratified to see Kentucky moving in the correct direction.
