Can you explain how the 9 ended up in the top 3?

I used paceline 3 and he was an elim on total energy

I am using Val 4 mode
hiding to the top 5 TE and Primary line score
Then hiding any horse that finishes worse than
the 0-0 horse in the second portion of the segments screen'
I'm hiding from the worst finisher on the VDC portion of the segments screen
I have no clue why this is working ?

I could have use line 2, line 6, or line10 instead of line 4 for my method of play. I don't care if the lines is 7 months old, or different distance ,or different surface, or different track, my only concern is the POH and POR from the line chosen.
