Long day today. Thankfully hitting the r2 -3 dd and lsp ex in r3 along with r8 ex I was able to keep the bleeding to a minimum[minus $57 for the day]. This game can humble you very quickly.

Was there anything that might be attributable? Was it cold? These weren't just simple longshots. These were MAJOR longshots and lots of them.

There was no way you could get some of the winners like the 7 in r1. Although it did fin 3rd in last and had isr it didn't have anything close to a top 3 rank in anything. The 5 in r7 did have corollary support but looked to be a ntl horse that didn't project to get it and was at the high end of %med to win at 6f at Parx. The r10 winner #9 had some corollary support but its form was bad. All we can do is dust ourselves off and move on.

There's usually corollary (a somewhat hidden but identifiable indicator) or an indication of a class drop (sometimes not obvious) or back class (often ignored by many) or an odd pace scenario (such as chaos). It seems odd that several horses in one day basically didn't show much of any of these longshot indicators. That's why I asked if it was a cold day. Or, what I somewhat jokingly ask sometimes, was there better running through chemistry?

Somewhat similar to Robert Kennedy's question...

Some men see things as they are, and ask why? I see things as they could be, and ask why not? – Robert F. Kennedy

The weather was the coldest days of the yr so far[mid 40s]. I'm satisfied that I didn't miss anything so whatever the reason these horses won we won't ever know. We move on.

I wouldn't think that the temperature would make a big difference until the weather was down to around freezing.

It has to do with the way races are carded. Obviously, they fit the conditions of the race perfectly in order to win and probably been waiting for these conditions to appear in the condition book and fill.
