r4: 3-2-6-4: no one wants the lead here

r5: 4-8-3: baby race, no one has run more than twice, one is FTS

r6: 2-6-4: 6 needs the lead, 2 will press, 4 closes

r7: 1-5-9-7: turf race where contenders lack early speed

r8: 4-7-6-3: six of the nine all show early speed, potential for hot early pace, 6 is lone contender who closes
