Ever been on the back side when the trackman's office is wheeling and dealing?

Often talk is like this: "if you run today to help me fill this race, I will open the conditions of that allowance race Saturday for you good filly."

OR
the Jimenez family does NOT know what the heck they are doing

A lot is going to go with the SIX here in the maiden 7 furlong contest

Furlong from the contraction of "furrow" (plowed field) and a specified distance (long)
The furlong, short for "furrow-long," is said to have been the distance a horse could pull a plow before having to rest. Its length was a matter of confusion for quite a spell, but by the 16th century folks generally agreed that it consisted of 40 rods of 16-1/2 feet each, or 660 feet in all-- and of course eight furlongs was 5,280 feet.
