Genuine Contenders
FTL good post and a great reminder about putting in Contenders in your Doc Sartin program of choice. This was especially true for the older programs like Energy/THOROMATION that did not rely on the TRACKMASTER ITV's; etc.
Doc Sartin, Jim Bradshaw, and Tom Brohamer were very adamant about this and would often say if you put a horse in you should be willing to bet it. The Sartin Methodolgy has always been about contender and reasonable paceline selection so the programs can do their "Magic". If you do not have a good grasp of these areas in your handicapping you will have little chance of success with any of the Sartin programs. I have found my Contender and Paceline selection got much better after the race was run but unfortunately they don't let you play that way. Last edited by Houndog; 12-30-2011 at 11:36 AM.
