What's up with the favorite in the fifth? claimed for 22K a couple of races ago and now running for 10K after a very good effort for twice the tag last out? I'd sooner play the 2 at 57/1 than the favorite.
EDITED TO ADD: I stayed out of it, so even though the fave won, I didn't lose anything. Last edited by clore1030; 12-06-2008 at 02:29 PM. |

Bruce Brown took the bait and claimed the 3 from Scott Lake. It remains to be seen if the investment will be worth it.

Eighth Race:
I had to go with the 7, even though it could get caught in a speed duel. The 1 was the co-choice, but is an underlay to my way of looking at it. |

Ninth race
Split the bet between the 5 and the 2. |

If I played the exacta and the double (I had the eighth also), I'd be much richer. But I find my focus is better if I just play to win as I used to get lost in all the possible combinations when handicapping. I try to keep "coulda, shoulda, woulda" out of my vocabulary. I'm grateful enough to have caught a 28 dollar horse.
