Adjustment Procedure

Playing Charles Town you get a lot of shippers coming from faster tracks and therefore need to make adjustments using Energy.I was listening to an old seminar tape where Doc and Hat said to use the E adjust. That's hitting 3 on the adjustment screen and then hit E and manually input the adjustment yourself.Has anyone had an success with using this method?I would also be interested in hearing about any other adjustment procedures you may have found useful.Shoeless

i have never used the adjustment feature of energy! since switching back to raw data from adjusted. my results are good.

i will have to add however that charlestown might be a place where some things are required because of it's bullring. the few races i wager there are all when charlestown lines are used for all the contenders.

patience is a virtue. it is good to see pino back posting positive things again.

God loves the both of you

Pino,True but comparing a Penn horse that cuts a 46 to the half and a CT horse cutting 47.3 some kind of adjustment needs to be made.Jeff

idea

Hello Jeff

I don't know what i'm talking about but maybe it will
just get some ideas going for you

In the above example you gave
what about keeping some kind of record
to the adjustments that are being made
from a trackmaster down load
Since you are a former sartin client you
could use Val 4 and maybe see how the adjustments are made
and then you can make them into your older programs that
give you the chance to make adjustments

I am so happy I don't make them because I know I would mess it
up...

CT Bullring

In many cases the auto-adjustment may not be enough when entering pacelines from Philly, Laurel, etc. At CT the 7 furlong distance races are run around 2 turns if I am not mistaken.

Agreed sticking with CT lines is best but not always possible. You can pass these races, but you may be missing a good betting opportunity.

For Example the 7 furlong par at Philly is 22.9 45.7 123.7 (tenths)
At Charlestown the 7 furlong par is 23.5 47.5 127.0 (tenths)

If you can determine the optimal adjustment in these cases you can cash some good tickets.
