yes i most definitely wager regardless of angles or lack there of. i happened to notice a distance switch and knew the price on the 4 should be long.

i do not bet angles but do notice a few simple ones when they appear

Forego I have to tell you—you have a very good method for playing your win bets especially when your contenders are so highly valued. IMO do not change it or overly concern yourself with angles. I have tried to handicap with just angles and it gives me a headache.

Just the way you used the distance switch angle, a very well known and reliable trainer maneuver, shows that you are not only confident but having good success with your current Energy Program mode of play. It looks like from what you are saying that the trainer angle only meant the possibility for good odds, which bodes well for what you are doing. IMO to someone who just uses angles the 43/1 shot with just one or two other angles would have been considered a good play and similarly to someone who combines angles and numbers it would have made them warm and fuzzy about their selection. Again, IMO the angles are suppose to help you evaluate the horse’s current condition or the trainer’s intent for today’s race.

If I would have been fortunate enough to land on that very juicy and seemingly well meant 43/1 contender you discovered any angles revealed, form or trainer intent, would have encouraged me to either bet more money or key it in some exotic bets. When I am not overly lazy and playing/betting from home I look over my collection of angles to assist in choosing a preferred contender.

Continued good capping,

Robert
