Good question "Ta" Richie
I learn from others and comment. Started out as methodologist BEFORE the ENGEN and KGEN programs were even written, then on to Phase III, then energy then Thoromation, etc....doesn't that qualify as a practitioner? THERE are MANY MANY variations on this method.

Don't buy into this "incestuous amplification" of ideas however. I question, improve and comment as such. Horse racing is VERY subjective.

I would not agree with everything in this thread, in fact there is alot I just can't see coming to pass. For starters this forum is currently is open to all and all are welcome, I would bet that Binder would be reluctant to change that. I just returned from Las Vegas 1 week ago and witnessed someone just giving away a Sartin program to a total stranger, in disbelief. Also talking to a regular guy I know and see every time I go there, he told me that he has had Val2 from day one and some guy just gave him Val3 the week before, he also mentioned that he was offered the new speculator from some guy and he declined it. If you have a laptop open folks just come right up to you there and start talking. Not to stirr things up too much and personally do not condone such things I thought I would post and share my 2 cents

My two cents: I'm a firm proponent of things in cyberspace should be free--if at all possible. Having said that, I would suggest that Bill seriously consider re-starting the old Yahoo! VDC group if this site is a beginning to be (or is) a financial burden. Sure, some of the benefits of this site would not be available in Yahoo! Groups--but free is free.* You can't beat that price!

Just a thought.

Jon

*Not that I'm a cheapskate or dirt poor, mind you. My way of thinking is, why pay for something if you really don't have to?

First of all

This is a Sartin Methodology group
Its for Doc, not me
I want and need no money from it
I want to win money at the track
If I can't make enough profit at the track to support this
then I don't belong doing it .

The original thought was to make it private
and of course the Idea of pay came up from friends and family
Thats all I wanted To make it for serious methodologist only
since I see the views and the post
its ovious that there are many more takers than givers
what we really need is a members only section
To get in you need a password

I have been working on making it private but
Oh please, forgive me for having 2 jobs, a side messenger
growing very fast, business
And the selfish disire of maybe making a bet
once in a while, All this with the same family and lovelife problems
everyone has. Sometimes changes don't happen as fast as I want

The group is a way to learn and keep my skills up by shareing my skills Before today things were looking real nice, Philly was back The post were all
quality, Not to much quantity but great. We finished the ASKED FOR REMEMBER!!!! task of doing a whole Del Mar card. What about the $43
dollars download BUDDY Nobody thought about that and I did it because I wanted to

I looped Rich's Betting clip over and over on VDC Radio
because once again he took the time to give and Its perfect for our group

why not you?

I am going to make this site great because we all deserve it
Doc gave us what he could till he had to stop

I was working on this

Pay/No Pay

I really appreciate all you do Bill and would support you in whatever decision you make. I feel that certain "Chance" meetings have such important impact on your future and I feel my finding your site and many of the people that make up the V/DC family have changed me for the better and will certainly make me a better handicapper. I also feel a close friendship to several members here.

Bill don't ever apologize for doing other things and being late doing anything here, I remember waiting what seemed like years to get my newsletter from John Meyer at the old TIS and to think how the Follow Ups if they were on time would be weeks late just by having them go thru the mail. I do agree wholeheartedly that this site is way more valuable than the Followups, but to their defense, that's the best they had and I couldn't wait to read each one.

I again appreciate everything, don't overdue and burn out - like I do and take care of yourself first.

Jeff
