BEL 3rd: #2 certainly looks good, but I'm inclined to go with #6 Courting Elaine at a price.

For one thing, #6 just won the last race. When you handicap and find a good number you stick with it. ;>)

For another thing I used to enjoy dining at Elaine's.

And from a handicapping view the horse has done nothing but improve. I'll go for the price.

Thanks for the advice. I've already started doing much of that, but the laying down part is rough because I can't get comfortable - earlier it was worse, I was going from chills to fever, but now I am just warm. I've had a water bottle right next to me for the past 24 hours.

I really didn't plan on much wagering action today - yesterday I abstained completely. Probably my only other wager will be on the 2 horse in the sixth race today.

I used to live on the corner of 61st and 2nd. It was a short cab ride up to Elaine's. A bunch of my lawyer friends ate there almost every night. It was their hangout and social hub.

I used to be friends with Louise Lasser, Woody Allen's wife at the time. She was in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman if you remember that old TV show. I'd see her there quite a bit.

I've never seen Woody Allen in the flesh though.

Actually, I remember Louise Lasser from before Mary Hartman. She had that hilarious bit with Woody in the film BANANAS where they are interviewed on their honeymoon night by Howard Cossell.

She was also a housewife in a commercial for Nyquil or some similar product where at the end of the spot she's told she's a wonderful wife and she responds "Yeah, I know."

I met her briefly at a TV Programming convention when they were trying (unsuccessfully) to bring Mary Hartman back to TV in the mid-80s. She seemed like a very sincere person, and I've met enough celebrities to tell the difference.
