Charlie and Tom, Are you following Doc's or Hat's way of doing the match up?It appears to me that even though they follow the same concept it is taught differently by each.Doc's was done by using the various programs and Hat's if your following his book seems to be done by the racing form.Jeff

Charlie,Since you have read the red manual do you think there is a difference between the way Doc and Hat teach the match up.The reason Im asking is because using Synergism 2 you have to setup the race either FW,Early or Late.I think it's best when you setup either early or late.

By the way good luck in using RDSS Hat mode it is a fine program and Im sure Ted will make significant improvements to make it even better.Jeff

Jeff

Doc's Methodolgy is computed and adjusted Fr1+Fr2+Fr3 to give you the, Energy readouts, FW, FX rankings etc - Bill Varone and others use Doc's Methodology

Hat's Match Up is RAW Fr1+ Fr2 +Fr3 - Charlie D and others Matchers use this

and thats difference

BTW, Hat mode is what i call the screens we post in Hat Check

Charlie,I might be wrong on this but when Doc showed races he had done he would only show the top 5 horses according to total energy and line score. Also it seemed he never mixed distances or surface it would be best of last 3 at comparable distance which I agree with him 100%.I just thought I would point that out on your sample screens which I appreciate you taking the time to show.Jeff

I don't use either 100%. I mix the ideas that Hat and Richie have shared, especially the power lines and power moves, using F1 and F2 to compare the earlies and decide if OTE will win. I use CJ numbers, and velocity from HTR, more Sartin style, but with the match up concepts.

I have heard nothing but raves about HTR,I wish I was more number savvy to be able to get full use of it.

Shoeless, don't head for Las Vegas just yet, Jim McElwee is living in FLorida now. HE and Rxlawyer are friends of mine so I know this to be a fact.
