Thanks BobC for the median numbers. I have got to learn how to do that
![]() The Pick 6 lots very competitive and full fields in every race. Should pay very well if you can hit it. Would be a great way to end the year! Merry Christmas to all Pace and Cap members Best Wishes Doug |

I found this in a Chicago Forum:
No training at Hawthorne « on: December 23, 2008, 03:35:58 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track was closed again today, despite decent temperatures and surface. There was no training Friday, we got out Sat., no training Sun., Mon., Tues. If the weather keeps snowing or snow changing to rain and no training tomorrow, track closed for Christmas, the horses running Friday will have been in the barn for 6 out of the 7 previous days. |

Yes, the track is closed, but there are several neighboring farms around
Illinois with "training tracks". It might be worthwhile to put a couple of well- intended horses into a trailer for a short jaunt to the farm for training. Oh well, I'll just pretend the horses who appeared to be "in form" shall remain so until racing day LOL! BobC

Bob,
These median numbers look like the ones that are out of Workhorse. Are they?? If, so I use the program, do I just use the ones that come up for each race or do I need to look at the stats in my data base. Thanks for all of your help always. Ira |

The median numbers presented are from a track profile i compiled.
If your database is current, and up to date, i would use it's stats and correlate any selection with the median energy numbers. This is how i use them good luck! BobC

Median Energy Numbers
For those concerned about the 70.00 + %'s for maiden claimers, let me alay
your fear. In some of the Sartin software (manuals), you were advised to avoid horses for win, who were above 70.00 % median energy. This is sound advice at most tracks, but not at Hawthorne, nor Calder. These are 2 tracks at which i have experienced high %'s in maiden sprints. BobC
