The difficulty that I have with it on the IDT is that we get an inordinate amount of shippers during the winter, and trying to match fractional times from Philly, Monmouth, Meadowlands and Mountaineer is a daunting task. Not impossible I'm sure, but it (to me) was raising more questions than answers.

Project Pace from a horse that has been on or near the lead for 1c and 2c at track and distance, this will help stop Projecting Pace too fast
Then move on to looking at horses and ask, what can this horse do and what can't it do ??? What is it's NORMAL 1c -2c?? What's running style??? can it run well against the Projected 1c of X and 2c of Y???
Use the WHOLE past performances, this will help you in deciding whether a shippers line is legit, useable and most important, a contender or not
The more you do, the more knowledge you gain, you'll then get to know that the standout 21.5 - 44.2 line from Philly probably had help, you'll know that shippers from X track are up against it and can be chucked
If unsure, PASS, there's another race along in 20-30 minutes to get stuck into
