Being as I'm not a user of RDSS and New Pace and unfamiliar with both of them and I'm not saying I won't be a user at some future date, hopefully, you will excuse my ignorance and explain what PO represents. You're good works are starting to peak my interest.
Post Time Odds?
Also, can you explain what and how you are averaging.

BTW, Your postings are appreciated.
Thanks.
No worries. PO is short hand for 'price-only' which means what you probably would think it does: namely close but not quite one of your contenders, say one or two points outside the range of what defines 'contender' according to the NewPace method; then you will consider betting it only above certain odds, say >= 8-1

To be clear, the NewPace method involves betting multiple horses per race, probably even more than what Doc Sartin would have suggested - of course, depending on the mix of odds offered at bet-time on the contenders. This betting practice is likely not everyone's cup of tea. But it is what it is.

For the record, Mike's reluctance to get into the 'rules' of NewPace is only because of an agreement I made to keep the specifics of the NewPace calculations to licensed users (licensed by Dave S - the 'rules' are the only things he has to sell). What I explained above, betting strategy - PO price only - is merely a term for a concept we all use daily (or should use - bet a secondary horse above certain odds).

And also for the record, so far, I am still agnostic as to whether NewPace offers a specific value over anything we can already accomplish in RDSS, when properly applied. I offer it for what it's worth, for those interested to investigate and report on further.

cheers,

Ted

Ted, Thank you for the feedback. It is very much appreciated.
I definitely like what I see in your updated software.
I think you are and have a winner.
My sincerest apologies for what had transpired in the past.

Ted, from what I see, I can understand your trepidation.
I believe That New Pace may have some merit if used with a software that is predicated to the principles of speed points and running styles.
New Pace can be good if used appropriately and I commend Dave Schwartz for his hard work.
I could be wrong but this may have been attempted before your recent collaboration with New Pace.

At this point I will give you my recommendations privately in an effort to help further your efforts if you wish to have them.
From what I am led to believe and can see, there is really no valid correlation between the RDSS method and New Pace.
They appear to me to be 2 different stand alone entities with conflicting methodologies..
If you feel I'm wrong your correction would be most welcome
