Thanks

Thanks Steve for your comments. It really helps when people who have experience with these larger LCD's post helpful comments such as yours. I have heard alot of good things about the Samsung LCD's as well as some of the Dell LCD's also.

I use a 19" LCD Dell monitor at work (not wide screen) and it has a nice display. With the prices as they are I wouldn't consider another CRT again.

Mike,

If you have 1024 vertical pixels, you'll get a nice layout in RDSS, 3 panels in the PP screens. Any of the video card/monitor combos you cite with that specification will look nice. It's more than I can handle at the moment to layout the screens horizontally any wider than 1024 pixels, so more horizontal pixels will not get you more RDSS data (right now). Already I am experimenting with toggling the Sidebar on/off to gain that extra width, i.e. to Zoom the font size a bit for the 'over 50' set, so in, say 110-120% Zoom mode, more vertical pixels would help. 1920x1200 sounds sweet!

BTW, just to keep this topic focused on RDSS issues specifically, if anyone wants to continue discussing video card/monitor issues, can we start a new thread, please. If it relates directly to RDSS, feel free to post here.

Thanks.

Ted

Thanks Ted! Thats what was needed, I nver had used an ap that had the"insertion point" before so thanks so very much. Was wondering if this screen or the fonts be made a tad bigger in the future. Im on the big machine with the duelie 19s and still have to squint my eyes a bit to see the dates) Its not fun to get old here.) Thanks again both to Ted and Richie

Having a strange thing happen here. After updating on this sats FG card and then going to the race cards by date in the future icon all the old cards that came with the program are now under this, before they were in the past box.

interesting..

Solved the above problem here I closed down the program and brought it back up and now the date order and matching folders in the RACE CARDS BY DATE is fine. Hope this helps if anyone else has this prob. Again if you notice that the race card dates are in the wrong boxes ( ie older cards in the future card folder) this seems to work for now.

Doug, Glad you're up and running. Your last 2 posts are addressed already in the Bug List (item #6). I try to keep that List really up to date as I discover things or as folks report things, along with Solutions or Workarounds, if any. You'll always find that in post #1 of the RDSS Testing: Bug Reports thread: http://bindfold.com/forums/showpost....73&postcount=1. Or at this link: www.ArtofPace.com/rdss/bugs/RDSS_Bug_List.pdf.

Also, the entire Download and Conversion modules will be completely rewritten. Hopefully you can bear with them for the time being! Good luck at FG Saturday!

Ted
