Contenders - " Quote Of The Day" - Tom Brohamer.

Contenders - " Quote Of The Day" - Tom Brohamer.

Learn from the man that wrote the book and win.
In my humble opinion:
Here's a key factor that should dictate how to pick and how many contenders to use in your contender selection.

Everyone has their own opinions and this is mine.
I try to formulate my opinions from those that are qualified to teach and were or are accredited Sartin instructors and authors.
It's like everything else, you have to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Test Race 8

Test race 8 is from Hoo race 9 1 mile

The 3 year best time is 134.2
I used the tandem horses 1 4 and 6 for set up times
I used Phase 1 for pacelines and contenders
There are shippers in the race
here are the raw numbers

The top 2 FW = 1 and 6

Test #9 Race 5 DMR 8.0 Turf

As we work our way around the country lets try something different
test # 9 will be on the turf at Del Mar race #5

The 3 year best is a very fast 132.3
There are shippers
I used DMR 8.0 lines for the set up times
I used Phase 1 for pace lines and contenders
The raw FW is a 4 way draw 10 9 8 7.
Since this is a turf route I will rate this race on SP

and that would be the 8 and 9

The top 2 sp are 3 and 9
