Par Charts
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if you could help me with Par charts. I want to construct Par charts for some of the tracks that I handicap and wasn't sure the best way to go about it. I read Brohamer's chapter on pars numerous times and still was a bit confused. Do I take the average of every class level one by one? I understand Quirin's theory of $10,000 claimers but wasn't sure if I'm suppose to work off those numbers and adjust each class one or two fifths a second from that level. I have no problem calculating each class level but just wanted to check if that was the proper way to construct the charts. Also, if the par times are similar, for example; NW2 closely resemble $50,000 claimers, do I assign the same Par? |

Since I have been invited into this forum, perhaps I can help with that.
This document I wrote some years ago may be of interest to you. Peruse it. I think it will shed some light on how to make good par times: Understanding Par Times Regards, Dave Schwartz |

Peruse it, then spend the money. Easily worth every cent.

I actually used Dave's method, with good results. Lots of work but it gavve me solid numbers.
Having said that, I buy them now. |
