E/L questions
Quote:
graph and this is why you didn't bet the 4 becauce it's "x" 3 2? also, how do you toss horses so you can put multiple lines for a horses? and lastly, what do you consider a winner should read on the e/l graph? cloes to the middle or a certain rank? now i ask these ?'s cause i am off all of feb. and i thought i would look at the e/l graph. i'll have some time. i'm not trying to "slam" "jab" anybody, just want to consider the e/l graph because if its the most predictive, then we all want to make some mola. isn't this is what its all about? ok i thought about using GP or TAM as the weather is good. weekend of the 5-6-7-8- all races unless off turf, even Md w/ fts as fts CAN influnce a race. i'll play a few between now and then to get a picture. selection of pacelines for spr-->rt rt--->spr use spr line w/ highest s fig. but line will read 4-5-5-4 bl's use rt line only w/ ES "in a route" i'll use the other "highest SR of last 3ish 4ish. i'll also use the one chart supplied by another site and really keep records ok could you please answer the few questions thank you Sir ps please move to a more titled thread if one needs to

The e/l cannot be looked at as a capping tool in the traditional way AND it is very specific when it is being expressed. When it is ON, as it was at Philly today, it is hard to beat. Other tracks have the same bias WHEN IT IS ON.
It often, repeat OFTEN, has nothing to do with total energy and expresses itself (as I interpret it) in TWO ways: The natural speedy nature of a horse and/or IMPROVING early speed . I look at EVERY horse every race no matter how they rank on any specific screeen and then look at the e/l screen and try to find those that are on the positive side relative to the rest. I look for those horses that will express their energy mostly to the 2nd call and the majority of these that show up and doing so because of cheap speed having NO Stamina to catch it. If it usually takes two units of energy late to account for one lost early, many of these tracks have that ratio more like four units late to balance energy lost early. It works far far better in the COLD

Sartin Methodology
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It often, repeat OFTEN, has nothing to do with total energy and expresses itself (as I interpret it) in TWO ways: The natural speedy nature of a horse and/or IMPROVING early speed ." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please read this carefully. and ask Tim about this statement This is not a blanket statement about the E/L graph Tim has studied this and he has a good feel when this is the only factor to win some type of races, in some type of conditions at some type of temperature. They are valid, They work. The follow ups do have articles from clients who use the Sartin Methodology tools a unique own way. Doc published them all but usually with a comment Check your own records at the tracks you wager Please do not take this statement about total energy as a blanket fact Total Energy and the Early Late graph do and should be looked at together OFTEN Thats why they have always been on the same screen since the PL4 program Please, read all points of view, I suggest for relevance to the E/l graph read follow ups 75-88 Doc Sartin -- "Bill How did you not bet the winner in tier 1 that paid $42.00" Bill -- It was too Early on the Early / Late graph Doc Sartin "Long pause, then with slight anger in his voice ... But what about its Total Energy ...." Some things you just never forget GS Bill Last edited by Bill V.; 01-14-2009 at 04:12 AM. |

ok guys i got it! but why, tim, did you not bet(or pass) on the 4? or did you use the 8 or 7? was it because the 4 was "moving" away from the center or median line last 3? i understand both posts.
thanks Rverge ps if i did not make my self clear then i will post 5" by 8" glossy photos
