What i am saying is this..for a long time,i listened and believed in so many "experts"...do this,do that,follow these rules,make an odds line,you cannot just use one paceline,match this and that,make models,etc...and on and on.... and my head was spinning and i was not making any money and it was no fun...
Only when i kept things simple and discarded the things that were not working or practical for me did i start making a little profit and enjoying the game.This is just a horse race.Great athletic animals running around a track and the riders doing their best to steer and get the most out of these horses.It is gambling and what you are trying to do is making bets and getting something better for the risk you are taking...the betting line/bottom line...increase my bet a little when i am up and just enjoy the game. |

I do not bet exotics.Maybe some other members can give you advice on it...I am a win bettor only,betting two horses...I just look at the BL/BL screen and if those top 2 are not getting at least 3/1 at 2 min to post,i pass...i don't even go to my third or 4th choiceas some money management experts say..Here's a case in point...today's (3/5) 1st race at Parx...#3 was going at 2/1 and the 8 was 5/1 at 2 min to post...i pass... |

same as in race 3...the 6 was 7/5 and the 5 was 5/2 at 2 min to post...i passed again...
we are only going to be right a certain percentage of the time.Me,it's only 45-48%,but my ave.mutuel is good.Far from the 60-65% of the top players of the Pirco group.Those days are gone... I am just going home early today... |

45-48%% on win horse bets is great, wish I could come close to that I wasn't asking for advice on doubles just wondering if you did it Great patience on making those bets Jeff |
