Hey Bill
What is this post about, I can not understand it? It is titled FL4 does this mean race 4, not race 9 1st. 4, I take it this is the horse, but 50.00 what?? nothing here explaining it? 6 25 w/p is clear enough 2nd fl1130 race 9 is this the date, then you are not on the right day, this means you posted wrong date, and maybe race too? please clarify this I see plenty of other races this day were dated 11/30, wrong date on a few races, am I missing something here, good skill patrick

This post is titled FL7 meaning race 7 but is dated 11/30
seems this was done in a hurry and not posted correctly or screen shots, and others too, would this work for me, of course not, I WOULD HAVE A LOSS OR A NO RACE DELCARED, ?? Patrick

Patrick
As what happens I made an error
I apologize for my hasty posting I forgot the date was the 29th not the 30th and my bet was a little cyptic as you can see here I realized my mistake and cleaned it up in the follow up post As what was the case with Noddub62 when he bet 50w/p I made the decision to allow the mistake because I had a very distint wager pattern to just justify that in all likeyhood the post was $50 win on the 4 and 25 w/p on the 6 as I used this same pattern 9 times this month I will run this by Ted If he says no bet I will live with it |

Bill and Patrick - I am making an 'executive decision' and invoking the 'spirit of the game' rule with regards Bill's Finger Lakes Race 7 bet yesterday.
That race counts. Bill did mistakenly state the race date was Nov 30 and not Nov 29. But many of his other races yesterday were also incorrectly specified as Nov 30 even though his RDSS screenshots clearly show Nov 29 and anyone could conclude he meant Nov 29 and not Nov 30. In all cases he meant Nov 29 and to disqualify that one bet because of that technicality is not in the spirit of the game. Inattention is no excuse - BUT, if anyone checks all the other things Bill is doing on the Contest Management front as well as explaining and detailing his races like no one else - to help us learn better how to use RDSS and the Sartin Methodology best practices - then for my money, forgiving him a small and easily understood mistake on the date should be forgiven by reasonable players. Bill is not out of the Contest. He has 4 races to post today. BTW - Bill did not ask me for this ruling. But I made it anyway. Thanks everyone for your understanding. If anyone has a problem with this ruling, I invite them to take it up with me privately by Private Message or email. Ted

Ted
I agree that Bill should finish the contest.
I asked him about it in the daily update section. I thought he was being too hard on himself. rmath |

Bill and Ted
I am not trying to disqualify anyone, especially Bill, was just asking for explanation on 1 post he made, the date is always understandable mistake and not something to disqualiffy anyone in this tourney, it was the Title Name FL4, as I thought he meant race 4, as others posts he made the title FL7, meant race 7, that is all, just 1 race, sorry for the mis-understanding. Bill does alot here and needs some help with all he does, but disqualification is not acceptable, besides he is still in the running for some prizes, I say go for it. Also for the future, maybe someone will help you with scoring and running the contest, you could use some help, and time off, it couldn't hurt could it. Thanks Bill and Ted patrick

why is it a loss
I am posting this just as the FL 4th race is going off
Rmath if the issue with the post was the date why is it a loss since the FL4 and 7th race have not run yet I ruled that because of patricks post I should be disqualified because I can't do the six races i would need to finish my cycle I can't thank Ted enough for allowing my races yesterday to stand He knows how hard I have tried to work and keep up with all that I am doing both as contest manager and friend helping my friends learn to win Thanks RM Good Skill in Dec. I know you will put it all together Bill Last edited by Bill V.; 11-30-2012 at 01:53 PM. |

I agree. Bill you do a great job with all that you do, and you have helped me to learn a great deal. I think it is fair to say everybody appreciates everything you do here. Jim
