Windows 10

Hi Ted,
Or others,
I just received notification that Windows 10 is available.
My question....will RDSS operate on Windows 10?
Or should I wait?

What you received was a "Reservation Notice", the OS wont be released for a couple of months.

Of course RDSS will work with Windows 10, it's up to you if you want to upgrade, you have a year to decide with the "free upgrade".

Personally, i would wait, let someone else workout the bugs.

No listing in the P&C Amazon Store for that. Just go directly to Amazon.com, no worries!

Re Win10, FWIW, I myself am still waiting for it to download on one of my non-primary Win 8.1 computers so I can see how it looks before rolling the dice on my main one. Should be soon ...

I know of one person who upgraded to Win10 with RDSS, but on a Mac. At least his (strange) problems with RDSS on a Mac are not MORE strange with Win 10. But that's a lukewarm report, for me ...

Any others?

Ted

Windows 10 Popular now!

Thanks Ted ... for your info to go directly to Amazon.com to buy Windows 10 book.
Note: This free Windows 10 upgrade is available for PCs and tablets; the free Windows 10 Mobile upgrade will be available for most phones starting later this year.
After I received the "Reservation Notice" several days ago, and yesterday went to Windows Update and got the Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The installation process took about 5 (five) hours to complete. So far using RDSS2 no problems!

Need to learn more because it's packed with new innovations including 'Microsoft Edge' - an all-new browser.

I have taken the approach of upgrading on my non-RDSS laptop first. The upgrade itself went smoothly and the Win 10 seems to run very well. The only issues so far have to do with privacy and the automatic updating. Microsoft has taken a bit of a Big Brother approach like others - Apple and Google It has its pros and cons.

You can do a search on articles about the privacy etc. and take steps when you upgrade to turn off certain options.

Other than that, it seems to run very well. Some nice features and Start menu is back.

I am not doing the same for my main RDSS laptop until I get a better feel for Win 10.

Cheers
