Race5 GP 12/13/2012
Playing $30 win and $70 place on #9 Ellerslie Park. Tops on BL/BL. Outside post lets him see how the early speed shapes up. Ran two nice mdspwt races then dropped for a tag and switch to turf. Back on preferred dirt surface in a race with a class drop that should make him ultra-competitive here. Competent jock and trainer completes the picture.

Ran like it was a public workout. Easy win but I do not think he wants to go much past 6 Furlongs. Bet down from 4-1 morning line but that's how it goes.

Hollywood Park Race1 12/13/2012
Race comes down to the 3 and 4 for me. 4 is overbet at 4/5 and could regress off 1st start. 3 has good connections as well and I am taking a shot at him. Unless the firster fires, one of these two should win.

Lone early beat me. 3 did not let him get away but did not fire down the lane. Neither did the 4. 2 won as easily as a LE can.

GP Race 7 12/13/2012
I went a little deep to select my line on #8 Valerius, but I look for him to fire big 3rd off LO and 1st off claim. Went 6 deep but he has the stuff to beat these. Will he? I'm gonna find out.

8 ran horrible. Merely a workout for something down the road. Or poor training preparation. Either way, not a good selection by me and most importantly, a loss.

AQU Race 9 12/13/2012
I'm playing #3 Salvar, in the contest. $30 win and $70 to place on the horse. He is off a layoff and first off a claim for a red-hot barn. Has the pace figs to be tough if he runs back to Prx races. Who knows? That's why they call it gambling. I feel good about him, so I will call it investing.

3 ran good but got gunned down late in the stretch by the 7. Still a profitable race for me as I loaded more on the place end. I do like the nickel breakage at NYRA.

HOL Race 6 12/13/2012
It's the fifth play of the day for me. I like #8 Kenichi to run back to his last race. I adjusted the 5's line to a more recent effort and the 4 is coming off a layoff.
So, I will go $30 win and $70 place on #8 Kenichi in this race. |

Got caught 3 wide in a speed duel early and had nothing late. Oh well, back to earth for me. 2 winning races posted out of 5. 4 ran 'em off their feet.
