One thought,
As the distance differential between pacelines get larger - i.e using a 7 furlong pace line in a six furling race or vis versa OR using a 11/8 paceline in a 1 mile race - you need to take into account that the difference in fractional times of the different distances. |

I've just read Brohamers adjustment piece
Is this used in any of older programs???

I noticed the other day while reading the charts that they now list a 6 furlong time in 6.5 furlong races. That would at least take much of the guess work out of comparing 6 furlongs vs 6.5 furlongs.
