Bill,

This is what Bob Purdy suggests on doing but if another way works for
you that is fine as well.

It is just a matter of picking your pacelines and whatever distances you
have the most of is your setup distance even though if it doesnt match
today's race.If possible you want the majority of races to be run at today's
track.

But come to think of it when your exporting RDSS info you wont be able
to do this unless you can enter your own distance of today's race.

Read the Syn 2 manual starting at Page 29 it will best explain this.

When you export unadjusted pacelines from RDSS, it's just as if you manually entered them for yourself in Syn2: you still have to provide Setup Times to instruct Syn2 how to adjust the raw data it is receiving (either manually from you, or in a file from RDSS). Syn2 setup info includes a race distance, so you can change the distance if you like, to match the majority of paceline distances, just as you always did.

When exporting raw, unadjusted data (i.e. just as you would see in the DRF or BRIS PPs), it will be simpler if you just consider that all RDSS does is provide the paceline distance, running times and beaten lengths rather than you having to enter it by hand. You still have to make whatever decisions you always made regarding which lines to choose, and what Setup Times to use for proper adjustments.

I have provided an alternate to exporting raw, unadjusted data: you can also export RDSS Adjusted data, equalized by distance, by surface, by Daily and by Inter-track variants supplied by TrackMaster. When you choose this option, Syn2 does not prompt you for Setup Time info - the adjustments have already been done in RDSS.

You may use whichever suits or interests you, and experiment with both.

Hello to Synerg users,
It was and is my desire to investigate the differences, enhancments, improvements or what ever. I can not accept what has been presented to me with out investigation. ("HERMAN SPENCER" from a long time ago and as taught to me by my hi-school english teacher(from a long time ago)), rejection prior to investigation......but I am sure you have all heard that stuff.

I present to you a simple race from Del Mar on 9 Aug 12 Race 1.
The running lines come from my intial run of the race i RDSS2.

The question was and is, does RDSS adjust the data adequately?

Please if you may and are interested peruse this screen shot.



The running lines were from RDSS adjusted SYNERGY 11 download, entered into Synerg 111, without regard as to what my par times were from the last time I had edited them (a long time ago) ( it would seem that I have a lot of long agos) the # 4ITW horse was enterd from the present race for a what the
""""" would this look like(please excuse the language).
All I can garner from this simple experiment is that RDSS2 more than answered my curiosity.
Granted, this is only one race, the #4 horse came from some obscure? track, I went down to the 3rd line I belive?...I must give every horse in the race a chance...their owners and trainers did and do.

The point being is that RDSS works but only if you "BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SEE"

The winner is tricky I suppose you could use the lines you selected

My look

This horse has a plus within a zero paceline last race. Its running style is somewhat early. Its last paceline does not make it a contender today, in this race
but It has the excuse of the race was the first attempt over the DMR surface,
It had the lead or battled up to the 1/2 mile point before fading
The connections are taking advantage of a 20% added bonus
Del Mar is offering shippers ship and win I think its called
So the horse got a trip on the track and now it fired

This pattern happens often I call it speed and fade, but becuse the 3rd fraction is so important in all Sartin programs these types rarely rate well
