SHots of Hastings

Taken from my vantage point in both the paddock and winner's circle from yesterday.

Hastings scenery

Great shots of Hastings Park, Tim, and thanks for sharing them.

As pretty a racetrack and mountain area anywhere on earth and it was breathtaking to see that in your photos.

Do you recall many years ago, in the early-mid 1980s, the now defunct weekly magazine The Thoroughbred Record had a photo of Chinook Pass rolling down the backside on way to another world-record effort with the majestic backdrop of Mount Rainier in all its glory ??

I had that magazine for many years and just wish I had the foresite to 'predict' the Internet, if I did, I'd never have thrown out anything I ever owned in those days.

And I mean this NOT for financial benefits but for posterity and historical purposes.
