WO7
I was attracted to this race by the #1. My initial impression of the race was 1) He ran against the FPLR 2) He gained in positions and lengths and then faded 3) He mostly runs early 4) He reversed his running style last out and gained indicating sharpness I made him as good as I could from past races, and then tried to beat him. The 6 came closest but on turf. My records at this track, distance, and Allowance level say early corollaries rule. The odds are good at 7-1. The 1 is my horse. #1 TO WIN Pook |

Nice one Pook. The man wins his own race. Welcome to the winner's circle Lostandwon!

Contreras is no dummy (except for his ride in the Queen’s Plate), the 1 was exiting a key race where 3 of the horses in that race went onto win next time out, you can make that 4 after today. Last edited by The Pook; 08-06-2016 at 06:02 PM. |

Thanks folks. Congrats to lostandwon's winning initial play.
The horse was on fumes at the end but hung on. It was a textbook Bradshaw spot play. THIS was a race where I thought FPLR was a particularly useful tool. It was also a textbook example of the posters advantage. Find something that plays to your own strengths and make everybody else beat you. It is nice when they convert. Pook |

I'm going to have to bone up on my Woodbine models for next weekend - the P&C Meetup beginning next Saturday (Friday evening if you're around for dinner near the track).
Depending on attendance, a majority of the players in this Contest could be there! As I mentioned to Pook, it would be nice to have another race from Woodbine, for some of us to work on live Excellent analysis Pook, and lostandwon - congratulations! .

Thanks to all
Nod to Pook on the 1 (singular) horse bet I questioned if the 1 horse could run 6.5f. The answer was “just barely.” Got worried when she clicked off the sub 46 half. |
