I'm not thinking of anything illegal or a conspiracy...............Just noticing that the usually reliable top 5 RDSS and the 4 factors contenders...are not working as well in the last race of the day

Al if that is what you are seeing then maybe it could be the class of the races or track condition that is influencing the last race of the day.. Maybe if you keep a model on the last race by surface and dist you may discover a factor[s] that maybe the key to the mint. I really haven't noticed that in my record keeping but I will monitor it more closely to see if I can pick up something that might address your observation.

The last race is generally the lowest class at Parx therefore they lack consistency and are more prone to longshots and or good prices. However a longshot can and do surprise in all types of races and class, just not as frequent.
