The Rebel Stakes 3-15-2014
I truly believe that #1 Jet Cat moved to Race 7 for Sunday, March 16, 2014.
Now, my pick because of this change is #7 Street Strategy. DSL |

More specific
The only official Derby Prep this week is the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park. The crowd will be betting the two colts that finished 1st and 2nd last out in the Southwest at Oaklawn, the 4, Strong Mandate, and the 3, Tapiture. The race sets up for a closer, and the one that closes consistently is the 8, Kobe's Back. The Morning Line maker somehow makes the 7, Street Strategy 8-1 odds. I don't think it will go off at anywhere near that. That means there might not be value in the exotics. Perhaps if the crowd overlooks the 8, Kobe's Back, then I may think again and play this race.

The Chart
Hi Ramon201,
Thank you for the famous phrase "Just goes to show you never can tell" - Chuck Berry and, for The Chart. I need to find out how to better handicap on a horse such as #2 Ride On Curlin for Show (3rd) at 11.70 Odds. Do you have any in-sight about this? or from anyone, I would be glad to know the comments. Thanks. DSL |
