First Fraction

Hi Jim,Let's say you are doing a race where the horse that you will project today will have the lead at the first call but because of today's match up will not have to run it as fast because there is no one to pressure him.How would you apply it to the rest of the race? Thanks Shoe

A horse that can run slower at the first call will exert less energy through out the race.
Look at the race where the horse ran faster at the first call. How bad did he loose the race?
If he only lost by a couple of lengths the slower fist call will work in his favor.

Jim

How do you apply if he is able to run a slower first call to the rest of his fractions for the paceline you are picking? Are there any adjustments you would make?Shoe
