The Things Energy can do.
Energy can see things that I can't
This is the 9th race at New York today. Aqu042509 This is a horse that I put in because of his workouts. Compare him to the others that had good pace lines. He is nowhere on BL/BL. First Energy before scratches and then after sctatches. |

I threw out the #7 & #9 because I didn't think they could wire the race.
This left me with two horses with low uxr numbers and big 2nd and 3rd fractions (look at the match up). I looked at the #5 but didn't put him in. Maybe I should have. THANKS TO THE HAT |

How true that is. Reminds me of a longshot named "Only Winners" I got in a simular fashion at Delmar a few years back. The track was playing heavy to closers, and a 2nd time starter with a dull first race - was ranked #2 in sustained pace. Looking at his running line I saw nothing that would have attracted me to this horse otherwise. But being #2 SP and a light raced horse with lots of room for improvement, I bet. Came flying home late paying 90.00. |
