Tote x-Ray

This has got my attention. After reading the link that Ted suggested...
The Tote X-ray column shows a value that is a ratio between the WPS pools
and the win odds. The horses are ranked similiar to the perceptor. With
0.0 being top ranked and the rest showing the percent deviation from the
top ranked. The top rank (0.0) is not color coded but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
ranked horses are color coded red, green and yellow.
How the ratio are derived is not described.

I looked at the posts that were available Kee R3 and R4. The Tote x-ray is
significant at less than 2 MTP and as close to post time as you can get.

For example: for Kee R3 at post time the top 4 horses were:
4 (0.0) , 11 (red), 3 (green) and 2 (yellow) The winner was #4 and paid 11.60

I did not see the analysis screen for R3 but the winner of R4 was one of the
top 5 contenders on Bl/Bl (3rd level) and also was within the top 4
of the Tote x-ray column. The other 3 horses on the tote x-ray column
were not within the top 5 of perceptor or BL/BL. The winner #8 paid 11.60.

It is critical to use the tote x-ray column data as close to post time as possible,
which admittingly makes for a very tight window.

This is a starting point for statistical collecting. The relationship of the winner
from the top 5 vs the top 4 tote X-ray horses. Maybe it would lead to something.
In this game even with the power of RDSS you can use every edge that you can get.
In the meantime Any suggestions / feedback are welcome as this is a new area.

Thnx,

Ernie
