Based on things you have said previously lead me to believe you are looking at the rankings, which are always ordered by the "early" or "EP" column, and saying that is "the top". Horses "at the top" would only be the correct horses to play if the variegate is "EARLY". Other than that, they may not be the "top" horses. I hope you understand what I mean.
