Ted, your baby keeps getting better & better. Can you give a short explanation of the tote "x ray"? Thanks.

Morning Lou
Ted is away for the weekend I believe. What I can tell you is that a member here has developed it and graciously gave it to Ted for his user base. It is a proprietary formula.

Lou I will stop here for now man.
Stay cool amigo

Thanks Rich. If it's proprietary, that's cool - I appreciate the member sharing it - that's fantastic. When Ted gets back, maybe he can give use some pointers on how to utilize it without divulging any of the algorithm behind it, to respect the member's contribution.

Hi Folks, just leaving now, actually, for the weekend (Mom, I'll be there in 90 minutes...)

The short backstory is: Rich had been using a version of RDSS which simply omitted the Morning Line. Then he wanted ML back, no problem - 2 minute fix - but the only version I had to share was one in development (actually previous to what I'm working on at the moment), so I sent it to him, but it has several of the things I've been working on since the last update - none of which are ready for prime time. Tote, zoom fonts, wider screens. Rich, tell them how often it crashes...

The tote feed flows throughout the program, all readouts, toteboard screen (just WPS pools so far). The tote Xray is a formula (from a non-member of P&C, actually) which deals with relationships between the WPS pools and the Win Odds. This column is displayed like the Perceptor column values, i.e. best is 0.0 (i.e. 0% deviation from best). The 0 value often (buit not always) co-relates with the favourite, so the primary interesting values are the 2nd, 3rd, 4th ranked, coloured RED, GREEN, YELLOW.

I don't even know how effective this analysis is over a long series, and it is certainly situational: if you get good win odds on a First Time Starter, but it has a high ranking on the Tote Xray, it indicates someone has a good opinion (for better or for worse) - look for corollaries in workout patterns (or trainer, breeding patterns if that's your thing).

It is proprietary, and is not ready for consumption. The whole toteboard thing is pretty cool though: Minutes to Post, current Win Odds (later exacta), etc. Likely it will be part of the Charts+PP data package plan.

Back Sunday evening. Have a great weekend everyone!

Ted

Ted
THIS is the reason I asked for the morning line back. It allows me after doing my thing with the way I pick lines to find "situations" favorable and see them quickly while working 5-7 cards of races (non maidens for real money)

Look at the Bl/Bl gap that the first 2 horses have over the rest. HUGE

Now look quick over to the right where Ted put back the ml for me. Their BOTH big value. Win/lose draw thats a nice situation

I took a chance on an exacta because I had huge odds on my 2 keys and there was total chaos behind them. I went for 8 clams on a $1.00 p/w and got lucky when the bomb #8 hammered the field for the exacta.

**** day in contest and 4 LOSING races just like this before connecting. I didn't play win bets like a complete jerkoff. Pino and Charlie are both yelling at me on the phone

Thanks Ted!
