Thanks much Rich - very clearly shown. I still have to take a look at the match up this year, but Doc's mantra for the Derby and CD at the distance was Sustained and that's what the Engen shows for the winners - S for most winners in their last race (Street Sense actually showed Late).
Looks like Med E% of 66.9 to 67.9 is a good parameter, though Street Sense was way off that range but I'm wondering if that was the first year of KEE poly? That Med E% range may have to be lowered substantially for all the poly preps out there and we now have to strongly consider LATE Engen styles if off a poly line. |

Take the AVERAGE of the last three medians and make sure they are NOT going UP.

Derby
Hi Tim
You are correct ITs best to use anthing close up in the major preps Actually I have never really been into the derby as for as making bets I think I have only made real bets with Morachoes Steet sense Giacomo - small $2wps bet as I was leaving the track ( what the heck ) And oh yeah some horse from Philly SMARTY JONES !!!! I still have my uncashed Ticket !!!!! But anyway I do what Doc suggest Take the win / place or close up finishers horses from the major preps and that run SUS S/P and Late |
